Savanna Lodge, Mpumalanga

Daliwe recently replaced our original patio blinds at Savanna Lodge with Nile Natural blinds. Our Nile blinds are a fabulous range for enclosing open living areas in lodges as they repel the elements while allowing something of a view.

Thanda Lodge

This project was completed in 2002 and involved reed ceilings in the lodge, finished off with rope on the rounded edges and split bamboo on the straight edges.

In the rooms and bathrooms, a new design of blind was made using a combination of seagrass and reeds.

Wilderness Safaris – Pafuri Makuleke Camp

Our flagship project and the first big one after Marianne took over the business. It was a pleasure working with Mandy Lange-brink, the designer commissioned by Wilderness Safaris to complete the Tented Camp interiors. Under her design, we manufac-tured custom made grass cupboards, room dividers, bathroom vanities, mirrors and numerous blinds.

The entire tented camp contents were trucked to Johannesburg for a mock-up in her living room and Daliwe later went on to complete the installation at camp. It looked stunning and was a tragedy when floods destroyed the camp a few years later.
